Just a little picture of Andrew at The Ivy, a restaurant in Olinda. We ate there on our way to the Dandenong Ranges, not long ago. While The Ivy had excellent food, they could brush up their service a little. We waited an hour and a half for our food, and we were inappropriately told that it would be out “soon,” when we asked about it. Ultimately, we found out they had not taken our order properly. To top it all off, they messed up my BLT by putting heaps of mayonnaise on it–something I despise and always request places leave off. We got our drinks off the bill, and a couple of free drinks, but it didn’t really make up for all the screwed up service and overall lack of remorse. Most of the waitresses just accused each other of not getting things right.

Oh well, at least there was a good picture out of it!

This was the design I used for this website for all of 2007. It featured muted, nature-based tones that were easy on the eyes and a greater focus on accessible and usable design than the previous designs for this site had. It was featured in a number of website galleries for its design excellence.
