To answer the question, “Will she ever come back, is there anything I can do?” the answer is: she can totally come back. I want to start by saying it’s always a possibility, but the possibility lends – or lies – on the second part of the question, which is, “What can I do?” And ultimately, it’s really about assessing what happened in this relationship that triggered the breakup. There are so many times when we are looking back on our relationship with our significant other, we tend to really harp on the good stuff. We’re like, “How can she forget that first year?

How can she not remember all the good stuff?” But, are we focusing on the bad stuff? And I know that right now, that’s the last thing we want to think about, but if we want her to come back, and we’re asking ourselves what we can do to make it easier, it’s going to be in what happened in the bad stuff. As a woman, here’s what I can tell you with complete confidence: The one thing we want, really, from the men in our lives is to feel heard and understood. I want my man to get me, and there’s so many men that I speak to in one-on-one coaching sessions that say, “She says I don’t get her. She says I just don’t understand.” And it’s because that’s what she feels.

She feels that we’re not listening, and that we don’t understand who she is. And as a woman, we’re emotional connectors. And so the more you can attach to us and connect with us, on an emotional level, the more connected we will feel, and the more committed we will become, and the more willing, we will be to stick around and navigate through what may be really challenging – eh – waters, through really turbulent periods. So thinking about that, it’s really about being willing to deep dive into the challenges, into the bad stuff, into the periods we really would rather not think about right now.

But, in those periods lie the answers of how to get her to come back and how to make it – how to – how to help her come back. Um… think about the trivial fights. Think about the tiniest little things, think about the really big things, and put yourself into her shoes.

What was her perspective? What is her side of the story? What did she feel wasn’t being met? And I would encourage you to spend this time, now, focusing on those things.

So many people are probably watching this saying, “But Coach Nat, how am I going to prove to her I’m different if I don’t speak to her?” Believe it or not, one of the biggest observations that I’ve made through years of coaching in this space, and something that I work on with my one-on-one coaching sessions with my clients is that the way in which we treat our partner is often a reflection of how we treat a lot of other people. If you are a negligent partner, you might be negligent in other arenas, whether it be with your family life, your personal life, professional life, with your friends, we tend to have characteristics that showcase themselves, or appear in so many elements of our lives. So, if we were a selfish partner, we might be selfish with a few other people.

And those are the relationships I want you to focus on during radio silence. If you’re wondering, “Will she come back, and can I do anything?”, let’s focus on the second part first, and then worry about the first part. Because if she comes back, and we haven’t done anything, she’ll leave again.

What you want to do is, if she comes back, to stick around for good, which means that while she’s gone, let’s get working. Let’s start assessing the difficulties and the challenges your relationship faced and let’s start incorporating solutions. If you can focus on those solutions, and nourish those changes, using – there are so many other relationships in our lives, professionally, personally, socially – you’re going to be so much more prepared to keep her once she returns, when she checks in, or when we end up reaching out to her, depending on the game plan, depending on the strategy. Who is the man that she’s going to see? Is he going to be the same?

Because she might not be interested in that. If he’s different, how? What changes have you committed to?

Change, consistency – that’s credibility for you. And that’s going to be how you help bring her back, and keep her. So if you’re watching this video asking yourself, “Will my ex ever come back, and what can I do to make it happen, and to make it faster?”, it all lies with you. It all starts with your personal transformation, with your own commitment. And this is an open book test.

Dive into your relationship – into the good parts, into the not so good parts. And reflect on what in the world happened! And find positive ways to eliminate those challenges and to alleviate that pressure. If you’re watching this video saying, “Listen, I’ve done all of this and I’m not sure how to proceed,” I would love to help you.

I’d love to have a one-on-one coaching session with you. I have the good fortune of working with so many people in this community, and it’s given me so many tools and so many ways of pulling you out this, redefining and reassessing what we’re going through, and presenting a brand new option for your ex, presenting a brand new reality that they can enjoy, that they can feel heard and understood in.
